An Introduction to Wax Sculpting & Casting — 2nd Edition

Following a full first session, we’re back for a second edition of our wax sculpting workshop with Soie Lait.

Join us on February 22nd from 1PM–5PM for an immersive beginner jewelry-making experience guided by Soie Lait. Rooted in eco-conscious artistry, her practice integrates organic elements and found materials. Working with locally sourced beeswax, hand collected stones, recycled sterling silver, and natural materials, she creates timeless pieces grounded in intention and connection to the earth — balancing tradition with experimentation.

Over four hours, you will learn foundational wax sculpting techniques, an introduction to the casting process, and how to work with different types of wax and essential tools. You will be provided with tools, wax & a short guide about the essentials for starting a practice of artisanal jewelry on your own, containing infos about: Techniques, tools, materials (metals & stones), supplier, schools, bibliography.

Each participant is asked to come with one singular concept (sketched or not) to refine during the workshop. You are encouraged to bring a meaningful object to incorporate into your design, or work with the thoughtfully sourced materials provided.
