Originally issued to the Yugoslav People's Army, these 1960s–1970s mountaineering boots were engineered for demanding alpine conditions, combining durable construction with purpose-driven military design. Crafted from sturdy leather, the silhouette features steel toe reinforcements, a distinctive lug sole, and D-ring hardware at the ankle, originally intended for securing gaiters to provide additional protection and stability in rugged terrain.

The steel reinforcements at the front of the boots were designed to accommodate period ski bindings, reflecting their dual function as military mountaineering and winter field footwear. Preserved in new old stock condition, they remain an exceptional example of Cold War-era military equipment and a compelling source of inspiration for many contemporary designers drawn to utilitarian footwear.
